Rigpa’s Spiritual Care Programme is a non-denominational, international outreach programme that offers training & care in the arenas of both living and dying. For more than 20 years, the programme has presented time-tested contemplative methods in a secular and yet authentic way. Our approach comes from understandings drawn from the Buddhist tradition, particularly from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche, that explores practical ways to benefit those facing difficulties, illness or death. Spiritual Care is active in seven countries & collaborates with universities, hospitals and other institutions, offering a variety of residential and online courses.

Rigpa's Spiritual Care Centres

The first Spiritual Care Centre, Dechen Shying, was established in Ireland and inaugurated by the President of Ireland in 2008. Rigpa's second Spiritual Care Centre, Sukhavati, opened in 2016 and is situated in Bad Saarow near Berlin in Germany.
