A Message of Sympathy and Condolence

We are very sad to hear that on the 28th of August 2019 in Thailand the supreme master Sogyal Rinpoche left his physical body and merged into the dharmadhatu. We all share in your suffering and distress and immediately, on the 29th, the two supreme heads of Tekchok Namdrol Shedrub Dargé Ling [or Namdroling Monastery], the two tulkus*, led the whole assembly of monks and nuns in the great temple of Orgyen Dongak Shedrub Ösal Dargyé Ling in the ‘Ritual of Making Offering to the Gurus’, Samantabhadra’s 'Aspiration to Good Actions', the Aspiration of Maitreya, the Aspiration to be Reborn in the Realm of Great Bliss and the Aspiration of Buddha Kuntuzangpo.

To all the students and others now experiencing loss and grief, we wish to offer you our sympathy and condolences. We pray that the precious, unmistaken reincarnation of Sogyal Rinpoche be found quickly, that he may become a noble, glorious protector of the teachings and sentient beings, and that his life and liberation be equal to that of his predecessors.
